Profiles¶
A Profile in Abelo represents a unified customer identity aggregating contact details, e-commerce purchase metrics, list memberships, and channel marketing consent across your organization.
Profiles serve as the single source of truth for recipient data, ensuring accurate targeting, personalization, and regulatory compliance.
1. Overview¶
In Abelo, profiles are populated through multiple automated and manual channels:
- E-Commerce Synchronization: Automatically created and updated when customers place orders, register accounts, or update contact info in connected Shopify or WooCommerce stores.
- Onsite Lead Capture: Created in real time when visitors submit phone numbers via Abelo lead forms and widgets.
- CSV Contact Imports: Ingested in bulk by uploading customer spreadsheets to static lists.
- Manual Creation: Created individually by team members through the Abelo dashboard.
2. Profile Data Model & Attributes¶
Each customer profile maintains structured identity, commercial value, and compliance records:

Commercial & Sales Metrics (Synced Stores)¶
When an e-commerce store is connected, Abelo computes lifetime customer value metrics directly from order history:

Sales Generated (total_spent) |
Lifetime net revenue generated across all completed orders in store currency. | Used for high-value customer segmentation and RFM modeling. |
Orders Count (orders_count) |
Cumulative number of completed store orders. | Distinguishes first-time buyers from repeat loyal customers. |
| Last Order Date | Timestamp of the customer's most recent purchase. | Identifies active, at-risk, and churned customers. |
Channel Marketing Consent¶
Abelo tracks marketing consent separately for each messaging channel:
| Channel Consent | Description | Indicator |
|---|---|---|
| Viber Marketing Consent | Explicit opt-in permission to receive promotional Viber messages. | Active (consented) or Inactive (not consented) |
| SMS Marketing Consent | Explicit opt-in permission to receive promotional SMS messages. | Active (consented) or Inactive (not consented) |

Connected Store Profiles
If your organization has a connected Shopify or WooCommerce store, customer profiles originating from that integrated source are managed directly in the store and cannot be edited or deleted manually in Abelo. This ensures store-synchronized customer records, orders, and consent statuses remain consistent with your e-commerce source of truth.
Permanent Data Deletion
Deleting a customer profile permanently removes all contact details, consent flags, and historical associations from your organization. This action cannot be undone.
