Billing

Managing your messaging budget, payment methods, and invoices in Abelo is transparent and straightforward. The Billing section serves as your organization's financial command center, giving you full control over prepaid credits, bank transfer settlements, official tax documentation, and corporate billing profiles.

Abelo operates on a real-time, prepaid messaging credit model. As promotional campaigns and transactional API messages are dispatched across Viber and SMS, delivery charges are automatically deducted from your available balance, ensuring clear cost tracking and zero unexpected charges.

1. Billing Sections

The Billing area is organized into four dedicated tabs:

  • Messaging Balance

    Monitor available funds, understand automated balance reservations, track pre-flight safety holds, and inspect the balance history log.

    View official bank transfer details (SEPA / Wire Transfer) and upload proof of payment documents (PDF) to top up your account balance.

    Browse, track payment statuses, and download official tax invoices (PDF) for all top-up transactions and account settlements.

    Verify legal company information, registered business activity, VAT / Tax ID, and corporate address appearing on your tax invoices.

2. The Prepaid Messaging Model

Abelo's billing model is designed to prevent unexpected overages and protect campaign delivery:

  1. Pre-Flight Estimation: Before sending a campaign, Abelo calculates estimated messaging costs based on recipient count, message length, and destination network pricing.
  2. Balance Reservation: The estimated amount is held in temporary reservation to guarantee delivery funds.
  3. Real-Time Settlement: As messages are delivered to recipient devices, charges are debited against the reserved funds.
  4. Automatic Reconciliation: Any unspent reserved balance (such as for undelivered, invalid, or expired messages) is released immediately back to your available funds.

3. Persistent Balance Widget

You can monitor your billing balance from anywhere in the platform via the wallet badge on the top navigation bar:

  • Displays your organization's real-time credit balance and active currency (e.g., €150.00).
  • Clicking the widget navigates directly to Billing > Messaging Balance.

4. Role-Based Permissions Matrix

Access to the Billing section is governed by organization roles:

Role Permissions

Billing and financial management actions are restricted to Owner and Admin roles. Campaign Managers can view the balance widget to monitor available sending credits, while Analytics Managers have read-only access focused on performance analytics.
