WooCommerce Integration Guide

Connect your WooCommerce store to Abelo to synchronize customer profiles, track real-time purchase orders, and trigger automated abandoned cart recovery campaigns over Viber and SMS.

Installation & Setup

  1. Download the latest abelo-for-woocommerce.zip from your Abelo dashboard under Settings > Integrations > WooCommerce.
  2. Log in to your WordPress Admin panel and navigate to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
  3. Upload the ZIP file and click Activate Plugin.
  4. Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Abelo:
    • Organization API Key: Enter your API key (generated in Abelo under Settings > Developer).
    • Webhook Secret: Enter your webhook signing secret.
  5. Click Save Changes & Test Connection.

Option 2: WooCommerce REST API Connection

If connecting via standard WooCommerce REST API credentials:

  1. In WordPress Admin, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > REST API.
  2. Click Add Key:
    • Description: Abelo Automation
    • User: Select an administrator account
    • Permissions: Read/Write
  3. Copy the generated Consumer Key and Consumer Secret.
  4. In the Abelo Dashboard (Settings > Integrations > WooCommerce), enter:
    • Store URL: Your store domain (e.g. https://example.com)
    • Consumer Key: ck_...
    • Consumer Secret: cs_...
  5. Click Connect WooCommerce.

Webhook Delivery & Verification

Abelo sets up secured webhook endpoints to receive WordPress event notices. All incoming payloads are verified using HMAC signatures to ensure data integrity and authenticity.

Phone Number Formatting

Ensure your WooCommerce checkout includes an international phone input field (E.164 format with country dial code, e.g. +30). Abelo automatically normalizes valid mobile numbers during ingestion.
